AK Trenchless Ltd is a nationwide service provider with substantial experience within the field of directional drilling and auger boring. These trenchless “no dig” technologies allow precise, efficient and an environmentally sound alternative solution for the installation of utility cables and pipelines We have been providing a nationwide directional drilling & auger boring service since the company’s incorporation in November 1999. From our head office at Dronfield we operate 4 x Ditchwitch directional drilling units complete with transportation along with a highly mobile and experienced full time directly employed workforce. One of our machines, the Ditchwitch JT3020 All Terrain has the capabilities of drilling through solid rock, which we have recently put to good use for Highway’s Agency projects. We have successfully carried out many major motorway upgrade schemes, river crossings, railway installations and sub contracted to various utility companies throughout the United Kingdom on electricity, water, gas sewerage, drainage, communications and street lighting schemes. Prior to any project we can offer full preliminary site and ground investigation works, including fieldworks, lab tests, settlement calculations, topographical surveys and the production of CAD cross-sectional and profile CAD drawings. Resources Our experienced operators are employed by the company and have NVQ Level 2 in Directional Drilling, N.R.S.W.A./ C.S.C.S accreditation’s, City & Guilds certificates in Electro / Butt fusion, LANTRA, Mud Mixing and First Aid in addition to C.I.T.B. plant operators licences & training certificates covering directional drilling. Our machines are capable of installing pipes and cables up to 800mm Dia. @ lengths of 200metres. The labour for each unit consists of a 2/3-man gang, including a foreman supervisor.
