As one of the largest surveying companies in the UK, Plowman Craven has spent more than 50 years providing a range of measurement and surveying services to the property, rail and infrastructure markets. With offices at Harpenden in Hertfordshire and Central London, we work in both the private and public sector, playing a key role on some of the most prestigious development projects in the UK and overseas.
Plowman Craven is a multi-disciplinary firm with a turnover of £15 million and a highly-skilled workforce of more than 180 people. We're at the forefront of survey and measurement innovation, pioneering new technology and techniques that enable us to deliver a first-class service.
We provide the data that helps inform and underpin our clients' plans. We measure and scan. We survey and record. We model and monitor. We interpret and advise. Combining our technical expertise with the latest equipment, we serve a broad client base that includes developers, architects, contractors, engineers, project managers, commercial agents, estate managers, investors, large asset owners and government bodies.
Over the years, we've participated in many exciting projects involving Middle Eastern palaces, North African communication schemes and European-wide logistic warehouse schemes. Closer to home we've contributed to several of London's major redevelopment programmes including Bishopsgate, King's Cross Central, Victoria, Elephant & Castle and Brent Cross, delivering a range of measurement survey services through all phases of a project from "Preparation and Brief" to "In-Use" stages of a scheme.
Utilising our specialist in-house divisions ensures that we draw on the right expertise and technology to deliver the perfect representation. Our Utilities division is one such example. Out Thames Water approved surveyors use the latest GPR, EML and Gyroscopic techniques to locate, identify and map underground utility assets, including Line and Level and CCTV surveys. Working closely with our Property Development and Infrastructure teams, we can also combine utility surveys with topographic surveys for a full 3D picture both above and below the ground.
We're committed to quality at every level of the business. We understand there is no compromise on this, and we continually invest in technology, staff development and health and safety to ensure we achieve the highest standars of service.
Everything we do is underpinned by the customer-centric values that forges our reputation in the first place - accuracy, reliability, integrity.
